As an accredited GCologist, as well as keeping up to speed with all the amazing new AI powered tools available to us, we need to reaccredit every 2 years.
This involves going through the process of finding a willing guinea pig, getting them to complete the (very quick) GC Index survey and then spending an hour reviewing with them the Impact Profile that pops out.
We then meet in small groups with Dr John Mervyn-Smith, Chief Psychologist and Co-Creator of The GC Index, who puts us through our paces, questioning us about the review and outcome, and, if Dr John is satisfied that we know what we are doing, abracadabra, a few weeks later, a new accreditation certificate arrives.
While not an arduous process - given that most of us are doing something we love - it provides an excellent checkpoint and opportunity to self assess, and if necessary, re-energise or re-orient our efforts.
Personally, after 5yrs as a GCologist and GC Partner, I am still just as enthusiastic about the power of The GC Index and the Young People's Index to help orient people, particularly during times of change in their lives but also when focusing on ensuring they are maximising their impact and channelling their energies to deliver their best impact.
